Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Candlelight Unity March held in Fort Pierce

Bryce Jackson (right), 3, of Fort Pierce, shares a light moment with his father, Tramayne Jackson, outside the Historic Lincoln Theater on Avenue D before the start of Phi Beta Sigma’s Candlelight Unity March to the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, in Fort Pierce. “It’s his first time,” Jackson said, referring to his son’s participation in the annual march, which is part of the weeklong Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Celebration. Events culminate in the MLK Day Grand Parade on Jan. 15 at 10 a.m. in Fort Pierce, followed by a festival at Lawnwood Stadium.
