FORT PIERCE — A 26-year-old Fort Pierce man was charged Monday with sexual battery, false imprisonment and obstructing justice, according to a St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office arrest affidavit.
Chase A. Legg, whose address was not released to protect the victim, remained at the St. Lucie County Jail on Tuesday in lieu of $125,000 bail, records show.
According to the arrest affidavit, Legg had sex with the woman against her will in April and, later, wrestled her car keys away so she could not leave during an argument. He also threw her phone and broke it so she couldn’t call 911, the affidavit states.
