FORT PIERCE — The victim in Saturday’s early-morning shooting on 25th Street was Fort Pierce resident Carlos Bradwell, a police spokesman said Sunday.
Police haven’t yet released details about the shooting. Bradwell died after being hospitalized soon after the incident at 3 a.m. in the 100 block of North 25th Street. The shooting was in front of the House of Meats Supermarket at 202 N. 25th Street, just north of Orange Avenue.
Detectives also haven’t released any information about the gunman, who remains at large, police said.
The shooting death appears to be eighth homicide this year in the city, records show.
Except for last year, the city has been averaged 7.6 homicides a year since 2009. In 2014, the city had 12 homicides.
