Learn to use military records to find family at Fort Pierce library this November

The Treasure Coast Genealogy Society (TCGS) will offer two workshops at the Fort Pierce Branch Library this November focusing on finding military family members.

• Tuesday, Nov. 5 from 1:30 p.m. – TCGS members Ellie Packer and Lindy Wise will present “Researching Your Roots for Daughters of the Revolutionary War Patriot” and “Researching Your Sons of the American Revolutionary War Soldier.”

• Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 1:30 p.m. – Florida State Genealogical Society member Kathy Stickney will use her father’s family members as case studies to show how to research your Confederate soldier ancestors.

If you can’t get to these workshops, members of the Treasure Coast Genealogy Society offer individual help three days a week: Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the Genealogy Section on the second floor from 9 a.m. – noon. Learn to use Ancestry.com, Heritage Quest and more. More information is available at www.tcgsfl.org.

These programs are free and open to the public. TCGS membership is not required.
