FORT PIERCE, Fla. – Fort Pierce police have arrested a teenager who they said is responsible for killing two people during a home invasion early this year.
Police arrested Shauntavious Tamele Ingram, 16, in connection with the incident.
Investigators said he and two other people burglarized a home on the 400 block of North 18th Street in Fort Pierce on Jan. 16.
Police said Ingram shot and killed Dontavis Albury, 30, and John Solomon, 66, during the robbery. A third man, Percell Derival, was also injured but survived.
Ingram was arrested on June 11 and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He was initially charged as a juvenile and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
Ingram was later transferred to the St. Lucie County Jail and charged as an adult with first-degree felony murder with a firearm and one count of home invasion robbery.
Officers are still investigating the identities and involvement of the two others involved in the robbery and killings.
Ingram is also facing separate charges for an aggravated assault with a firearm on May 2.
